Aerobic Circuit with fitness instructor Merle Sauer. Aerobic Circuit combines cardio exercise and strength training into one workout and offers the best improvements for your overall fitness.
Aqua Fitness is a form of aerobic exercise that requires water-immersed participation. The class focuses on aerobics, endurance, resistance training, and creating an enjoyable atmosphere with music.
Known as the Zumba "pool party", this class gives new meaning to the idea of a refreshing workout. Integrating Zumba philosophy use Latin rhythms and trendy Pop music hits with traditional aquatic fitness disciplines, we will blend it all together into a safe, challenging, water-based workout that is a cardio-conditioning beyond belief.
Aqua Pilates converts traditional Pilates exercise into a pool setting. Focus is on strength and stretch utilizing core muscles. Noodles, water weights, pool wall and floor will be used. All levels of fitness welcome.
Aquarobics is a water-based exercise that offers resistance training using the water instead of typical hand weights. This low-impact exercise can help improve cardiovascular fitness, endurance, and flexibility. Taught by Merle Sauer. For this class, you will need one set of aquatic dumbbells and a swimming kickboard.
Let Tai Chi become your go-to cure for occasional back pain, relief from stress and arthritic stiffness. The simple moves can strengthen knees, heal shoulders and cover your 'joie de vivre'! Medically proven to help with diabetes, balance and fall prevention, while keeping your mind free. Come try our class on Tuesdays, 1-2pm. Beginners always welcome!
This class combines cardio moves with weight training and will get your heart rate up!
It's a fun activity that combines movements of shadow boxing to music that helps to improve cardiovascular endurance, burns calories while moving, improves coordination, endurance and reaction time. Weights will be used at the end to build strength and build lean muscle. All levels welcome - seated version is available)
Yoga in the chair has the same benefits as yoga on the floor but caters to those who find it difficult to get up and down from the floor. Chair yoga will improve posture, range of motion, relieve stress, improve mental clarity and function, improve foot health, increase lung capacity and decrease back pain. Yoga reserves the aging process and strengthens the musculature around the moving joint.
Circuit training is a fast‐paced class in which you do one exercise for 30 seconds to 5 minutes and then move on to another exercise. The class is a rigorous interval training sequence with high intensity exercises. It builds cardiovascular fitness while improving muscular strength and endurance.
This ab class focuses on strengthening and toning the core muscles to improve stability and posture. We add weight training at the end while sitting on a stability ball to increase bone density, stimulate muscle growth while targeting all major muscle groups in your arms, legs and core.
Most boxing classes are 60 minutes long and are usually structured in three “rounds” that include an intense cardio warmup, boxing with intervals of bodyweight exercises, and of course, core work. All three rounds are extremely challenging and are sure to leave you drenched in sweat from head to toe.
Functional Stretch improves performance in daily physical activities, reduces injury risk by improving flexibility and preparing muscles for movement, and increase joint flexibility to create greater range of motion.
An intermediate line dancing class is designed for dancers who have a good grasp of basic steps and are ready to learn more complex choreography and rhythms. These classes build on foundational knowledge, introducing more intricate patterns, turns, and styling, often incorporating a variety of music genres and dance styles.
Line dancing is a fun, social, and engaging form of exercise where participants dance in lines, following choreographed routines to music. It's a great way to improve fitness, coordination, and memory while enjoying a variety of music genres.
Yoga is a powerful tool for self‐transformation, a physical and spiritual practice for health and relaxation and a path towards creating balance and uniting opposites.
Pilates is designed with your core as your powerhouse. This class will focus on breathing, alignment, strength, stretch and mind body connection. This is a low impact mat class geared for all levels of fitness.
This is a 45‐minute non‐impact strength training class designed to build lean muscle and burn calories. Free weights as well as other strength training equipment will be used. Does require standing and floor work.
It's an hour, full body conditioning class that employs resistance loop bands to sculpt and tone the arms, legs, glutes and core. No muscle goes untouched.
Although restorative yoga has been around for thousands of years, recently it's the "new hot class" according to the Wall Street Journal. Restorative yoga focuses on the yin part of the yin/yang of yoga: relaxation, stretching, and breathing.
(Additional session description): In class we hold the poses longer to allow the muscles to relax so that we can focus on the restoration of connective tissues. Anyone can do the class!
Improve balance, mobility, coordination, posture, and core stability, along with increasing flexibility and strength.
Thirty minutes of building lean muscle utilizing various training equipment followed by thirty minutes of stretching. All levels of fitness are welcome. Shoes are required for strength work.
Stretch and Balance with fitness instructor Merle Sauer. Stretching is a physical exercise that requires movement into certain positions that will serve to lengthen and elongate muscles or groups of muscles and enhance flexibility and elasticity. This will improve balance and coordination. Chairs will be utilized.
Tap class teaches students rhythm and percussion through intricate footwork and the metallic taps on their shoes, while developing coordination, balance, and musicality.
Tighten and Tone class with fitness instructor Maria Hardesty. Tighten and tone is a full body workout, utilizing our body resistance and weights to sculpt and tone the body. This fun, dynamic movement workout encompasses core, balance, and muscle activation.
Vinyasa yoga incorporates various yoga poses that are linked together with your breath in this 45-minute dynamic mat class. Designed to increase strength, balance, flexibility and clear the mind.
Yogalates with fitness instructor Merle Sauer. Yogalates starts with traditional yoga warmups and gradually transitions into movement almost the pace of Pilates.
Zumba Fitness is medium-impact workout designed for any audience that wants to exercise while enjoying dance with primarily Latin rhythms.
Zumba Gold has low impact, making it suitable for individuals over 50 years of age.
